CHINAS COMIDAS is a punk band that originally was founded in Seattle, forming part of the earliest city scene. Some of the early members also played in bands like RED DRESS and TUPPERWARES, they were considered as post punk in their beginnings due to their poetic lyrics , which had a strong feminist component, and also their art with the covers, flyers... However and especially on their second ep, the music had more in common with bands like X, AVENGERS, THE NUNS, THE BAGS.
The first 5 songs on the Dream On LP are new recordings in almost 40 years, these new songs that will send shivers down your spine with they’re sensitivity, melody, and poetic sensibility. The remaining 6 songs are from a 1977 concert in Seattle and represent the very beginnings of what became Chinas Comidas.
