KANADA from Mikołów, Silesia was born in 1987 from the ashes of punk band AWERSJA when Leo from legendary cold wave band GARAŻ W Leeds joined to Korek and Model (both from Awersja) with Kaśka on second vocal. They were one of the first Polish anarcho punk bands, influenced by CRASS, POLITICAL ASYLUM, CHUMBAWAMBA, FLUX OF PINK INDIANS etc. with mixed male and female vocals - done by Korek and his sister Kaśka... They played some local gigs, released cassette on Svoboda Records (1990) and 3 songs from demo recording on Enigmatic's cassette compilation. Band died in 1989. Korek continued in hc/grunge band BUTTERFLIES in early 90s.
