There’s no denying the importance or longevity of one of the longest running Punk bands in Japan, THE JETBOYS. Tokyo’s finest formed on Sid Vicious’ birthday in 1983 and they self released the first JETBOYS record, a 7" flexi, six years later predating both TEENGENERATE and GUITAR WOLF’s first releases by a few years. JETBOYS reign was well under way throughout the 90's golden era of Japanese Garage Rock, burning bright alongside GUITAR WOLF, TEENGENERATE, THE MAD 3, THE REGISTRATORS and the 5,6,7,8's where they amassed a jaw-dropping back catalog that’s mostly out of print today. ‘Regurgitated Ecstasy’ compiles nearly two dozen of their most savage and nihilistic cuts spanning all eras of JETBOYS corrosive and explosive career. Many of these tracks are being released on vinyl for the first time here while others get the reissue treatment having been released on very obscure Japanese labels that have since gone under. And unlike many bands who’s careers have spanned nearly 4 decades, JETBOYS sound hasn’t really changed all that much over the years. More Punk than GUITAR WOLF and just as barbaric as TEENGENERATE; THE JETBOYS have always burned their TNT candle at both ends sounding like a supercharged, sonic tornado of JOHNNY THUNDERS, THE DEAD BOYS, THE SEX PISTOLS, and THE RAMONES. ‘Regurgitated Ecstasy’ spews 18 sonic A-bombs across a potent, powder-keg of loud, blaring guitars and nasty, biting vocals with eye popping cover art by JETBOYS frontman Onoching. All tracks have been remastered for this release and the LP also includes a snazzy looking JETBOYS comic-strip insert to match.
